Akemi laughed, "Maybe we should just start out with Emiko, Suki, and Ino. They'll tell everyone they see, heh heh..." She fidgeted and played with her hair. "That was an experience, for sure.....I'm not sure I want to do it again."

"Okay." He ran off to go and call them.
The phone rang.
Bakiri rolled his eyes, "Okay, Cloud 9 REALLY needs to stop having awkward people come to our door or call us when she runs out of ideas. Just a hint."
Cloud 9 glared abd nade it start raining.

"Bonjour." Guess who it was. It shouldn't be too hard. He sounded cold, angry. "Your husband just called Emiko, and she told me. You had a baby." There was a long pause. "Congratulations." He didn't SOUND happy, like he was congratulating her, he sounded like he was telling her he was sorry her baby had DIED.

Akemi sighed, "Lumiere, are you okay? If I want to have a baby, I'm going to have a baby. Sorry, but that's how it works." She said coldly.

"Okay. Goodbye."
He didn't hang up.
"Wait. Akemi... I... no. You are happy. Who am I to break up someone happy for my own warped needs?"
He still didn't hang up.
"I love you, Ke-kun. But you do not love me and I understand that. I only wish..."
Still didn't.
"...I wish I had not asked Hidan to take Shikamaru ransom all those years back. If I had not, the father of your Kita might have been me. But that is the fate of the clouds... I just want you to know..."
He whispered,
"...I am sorry"
so quietly Akemi could barely hear it.
And he hung up.

Akemi felt a rush of guilt and pity fly through her. She stared at the wall for a few minutes, saying quietly, "COuld it be....?"

Meanwhile...
Lumiere hung up the phone and walked down the hall, nearly stepping on Brye, who hissed and scampered away to avoid the Frenchman's feet. He went up to Emiko. "Have you seen Cogsworth?"
"He's living in the back room. Didn't I tell you?"
"WHAT? Why have I not seen him then?"
"...I locked him in there with pudding. And sake."
"Oh." Lumiere ran to the back room, where he opened the door and saw Coggie surrounded by pudding and sake.
Cogsworth raised his eyebrows. "Yes, Lumiere?"
"Does the master know we're here?"
"Of course not; WE didn't even know we were going to be here."
"Should we tell him?"
"No; I quit."
"WHAT?! Cogsworth! You cannot stay here like this forever!"
"Just watch me, Frenchperv."
Lumiere walked away, sighing. Even COGSWORTH knew better what to do with his life than Lumeire did.
