Emiko blushed. "Brian? NOwhatevergaveyouthatideaofcourseIdon'tlikeBrian!" And then she added quietly, "Uh, no. I invited this guy named Dave. AS FRIENDS." She rolled her eyes and added again, too quickly, "NoIdon'tlikeBrianew!" for good measure.

"Okay, Shika!" Bakiri ran into the room to see the two lovers exchange a look. "What is it?"

Akemi brought it up gently and kindly. "Kiri, how would you like a little sister or brother? Only one," she added, thinking Bakiri wouldn't want as many as he had back in Egypt.

"A... sibling?" Bakiri blinked, thinking it over. "Aw, would you still give me attention and stuff?" But then he added, "You know, just one sibling would be okay. I'd have someone to play with when you two do ninja stuff! And I could teach them god-jutsu and hide-and-go-seek!"

Akemi dressed in a red and white short kimono w/ white pants under it. She used an orange headband to pull her hair back. "Shika, Kiri, come ON, we need to go!" She went upstairs to see Shika half-dressed. She head-desked. "You could at least TRY..."

Soon Shika was ready, and they set off for the party.

They arrived.
Betty the flight attendant, the French cabdriver, and Zac the bartender gave out sake, and sweetsake to the children. A DJ played music.
Emiko walked over to Suki. "Su-chan, I'd like you to meet my friend, Dave. This is his husband, Rod, and his son, Sasugay."
"I'm Sasu's stepfather," Rod explained.
"Hi!" said the Gay Family

Suki almost had a nose bleed. "Hey, guys, I'm Suki. This is Lee!" She gestured towards Lee, who had said casually, "Sasugay, Dave, long time no see!"
Akemi just sat around talking to Suki, occasionally taking a drink of sake. Then, when Emiko walked in the door, Akemi, slightly drunk, said loudly, "Hey! You knocked me OUT!"

"You WHAT?" asked Dave, MORE THAN SLIGHTLY drunk.
"I dunno," said Rod, more than more than slightly drunk.
"Uh... yeah, Akemi... so what?" said Emiko.
