Akemi's eyes widened but slowly closed as the kiss persisted. After a few seconds, she gasped and took a step back. "L-Lumiere.....I'm married! I-I-I can't!" She hugged herself and fell to her knees in despair. "You'll never give up on me, huh? You'll never settle for anything less! I....it can't be true! I can't love you, I love Shikamaru! W-why me?! Why do I have to be cursed with this....this...this love screwup?!"

Lumiere chuckled softly. "Kemi-kun, you bring love into your life, you also bring sorrows. A good friend told me that once. You must know that by now. I love you, but I know you are married." He turned his head quizzically and looked at her. "But hey, you love me to, no?"

I mean, I still love you, but I don't want Shikamaru to....to....t-to......ever leave m-me.....especially now. Because I am with child." She looked up at the Frenchman in the doorway. "With child," she repeated in a whisper.

To Akemi's surprise, Lumiere didn't seem startled at all by this news. "So Shikamaru's heart means more to you than mine? Is that what this is? Well, Kemi, I must remind you, who you first lost your innocence with. Your first sex partner. Your first true love. Think about him. While you and your hubby had the time for your life, for the past FOUR YEARS, Kemi-kun, I was miserable without you," he hissed. "Is that what you want, eh, new mother? Love for Shikamaru, and pure misery for everyone else?"

Akemi winced. "I...I'm sorry. I haven't really appreciated you. I don't want misery for everyone! I just want to raise my own d@mn family! I'm sorry you only wanted me for sex, I'm sorry you never loved me for who I was, I'm sorry Shika DID!" She cried, upset that Lumi would bring that memor back to her now of all times. "I just hate men like that! They wait around for the sex and then they just leave!! It makes me sick!" She spat, glaring at Lumi. "I just want to hurt you right now!!!" ZOMG Christie I was re-reading the RP... look at this part:
Akemi hugged Shika. “Shika-kun!! Looking at clouds lately? Have less of a life, Shika, and get on the internet!”
“NOT YOU TOO!” cried Lumiere. “Please tell me you’re just friends!”
Shikamaru pulled away from Akemi. “Uh, yeah...”

Akemi laughed, but there was no amusement in the hollow chuckle. "You, suicide? I don't believe that. But I just don't want any complications in Shika's and my marriage. I do love you. It's the only explanation. I just can't cheat on anyone. It's wrong, even if you don't think so." She stood up slowly and walked p to Lumi. "It wouldn't work between us. The mistake you made was seperating Shika from me. And being a pervert."
She suddenly smiled, "Hey, you don't still have that book I gave to you, right? On the day we met? Don't you remember?" She hoped he didn't still read it. That would be gross.
((Sorry for not posting I was getting a haircut.
Be right back I gotta pack for tomorrow. I'm leaving for Vermont tomorrow so I won't be on. I'll be about 9 minutes, maybe a little more.))

"Remember, that first day, you tried to take me to a movie? And I had no idea what it was? We never did get to see that movie, Ke-kun. But now I know what they are. I am older, wiser. And I used to call you Akemi-KUN? Well, I know now that it is chan. But I call you 'kun,' for old time's sake." He paused. "When we were younger you cheated on so many boys, it was hard to keep track. So did I, with girls, of course. But... now... I love you. Only you. It is funny how times change." Akemi smiled, but didn't take Lumi's hand. She led him to the theatre an bought some tickets to (You choose the movie. RECENT movie please!). They took their seats in the theatre.

"Enchanted" started playing. Everytime Giselle or Edward started talking about how much they loved each other, Lumiere looked at Akemi. And when Giselle fell for Robert in the end, instead of Edward, Lumiere scowled, knowing exactly how Edward must feel.
((I know it's not exactly new, but it was the only recent movie I've seen XP))
