Akemi flicked him on the forehead. "Um, Sakura, Shizune, TSUNADE?!" She laughed. "I can't believe you forgot our HOKAGE was a medical legend!" She placed her head on his chest, hugging him tightly. "I love you. I dont ever want to be parted from you."

Akemi was very jumpy when she was waiting for the result, grabbing Shika's hand an almost cutting off it's circulation. Finally, Shika was saved from certain fainting and Tsunade called them into a room. She smiled. Akemi blurted, "What is it?! Speak!"
Tsunade shook her head in amused taunting. "You're more loud and annoying than ever, Akemi. Don't you agree, Shizune?" She turned to her assistant.
((By the way, Shizune is the niece of Tsunade's dead boyfriend. His name was Dan.))

Tsunade grinned and said happily, "It's positive. What did you two DO, anyways? Oh, nevermind. Might want to buy some stuff soon for the new family member." She winked at Shika. "You didn't HURT her, right?"

Shika scowled. "Of course I didn't." But he turned to his wife with pure joy lit up in his eyes. "Did you hear that, Ke-chan? We have a CHILD!" He hugged her in celebration.

Akemi hugged him back joyously and blissfully, fully and truly happy with the news. She turned to Tsunade."Maybe he hurt me, maybe he didn't!"
Tsunade nodded. "I see. It's like THAT, then."
Akemi giggled nervously. "You've been around Jiraiya too long, you perverted Hokage!" She turned back to Shika and kissed him passionately. "I love you. Bam!"

Outside the window, Lumiere's lip curled down, disgusted. "Look at them, with their love and happiness and oh-so-funny jokes," he said in a mocking, bitter voice. "They had a child! Well, let us see how long this lasts, hmm?"
"Patience, Lumiere," Emiko reminded him gently.
He glared at her with fire in his eyes. "Shut up, you. Can you not see I am mocking Shikamaru? My one moment of glory? The one thing I still have to love?"

Akemi simpley hugged her husband as if he would run away. "Those three words are said too much. And they are't enough to describe my....my.....my love for you. Jeez, it just so happens that they're the ONLY words like that! Darn it! I adore you!" She held his hand tightly.
Tsunade rapped on the wall. "Uh, hello? We're still here," she said, gesturing Shizune and herself, "could you keep it on the downside?"

Tsunade sighed and whispered to Shika, "Girl, I think. I'm not sure."

Akemi smiled at his touch and held his hands in hers as they walked home. For some reason, she just couldn't keep Lumiere, of all accursed people, out of her mind. She didn't know why and she didn't want this to happen, bu it was and there was nothing she could do.
She finally felt compelled to find Lumi and talk to him. She went to Emiko's house and knocked on the door. She knew Lumi was staying there.

Lumiere opened the door, muttering bitterly to himself, but he stopped as soon as he saw Akemi in the doorway. His eyes grew huge in wonder, and his mouth opened and closed silently a few times before speaking. "Bonjour, Akemi-kun."
"What did I tell you?" whispered Emiko smugly, from behind him. "Patience, and she would come to you. She did." And then, "I'll be expecting my pay later...?"
Lumiere ignored her.
