( For now it's only a oneshot, motivated by the fanfiction I uuuusssseed to have. Eh, I might try and re-do the fic as a whole, but I don't think anyone would be interested in that. 'sides, I have 3 other BLOSC plots, ALL of which feature NOS at some point. I love him. D:
Yeah, I posted this crap everywhere. XDD)
Warnings:
-First of all, it's a heavy focus on one of my fancharacters, who is a cliche alien werewolf. =) . So yeah, if you hate cliches and such, avoid. Because. . ...She's pretty much the focus of this oneshot. Along with NOS, I guess. xD
-NOS-4-A2 is in it, like, in the very, VERY end. but....There's some description of robot abuse. =) A leetle. And Centari may seem a little bit like a sadist, I suppose. She IS in her were form, and it basically amplifies certain desires.
Hehe. Namely this one ripping NOS-4-A2 apart
Predators
Find him. The leech, fellow predator, your stepping stone
Her feral side was insatiable at this point. All it could think of was hunting the vampire, pushing and prodding Centari onward with the most pleasing mental images predators like themselves could concoct. It was normally a side she reserved contempt and fear for, but tonight? Oh, tonight, things were different!
All her flaws, all her imperfections, to her, were nonexistent at this point. Centari had given in to her more feral urges, finally allowed herself to slip into the mindset vicious lyconians adored. A cunning, intelligent hunter, steadfast and focused on the quarry that waited; nothing else was important.
Nothing else mattered, only the hunt.
Only the hunt
Hunt him, tear him, crush him!
Centari's lips parted in a crazed grin while a predator's fantasy, the anticipated rewards of her efforts, played out in her mind's eye.
Beautiful savagery.
She salivated heavily, her vision growing more enticing by the second.
Her quarry was not like regular prey, he was not weak, he was not food. He too was a predator, stronger, more sinister, a challenge.
The initial reason behind her rash choice to hunt him down had long-since been cast aside. As terrible as it was, Centari found herself caring less and less for what the energy vampire had done to her companion Alpha, quick to assume her father could fix the short robot.
Now the hunt was for her, and her alone. It was a chance to prove herself, to show the other Lyconians that even a runt could assert dominance and raw power if the conditions were right.
And the conditions did not get much better than vain desperation.
Tear apart those pretty wings, rip out those sparkling eyes one by one, dismantle him slowly...Revel in his screams of pain .
A pleased growl escaped Centari's throat, while she ran her claws along the edge of the building, searching, waiting...Impatiently.
She felt the utter desperation to howl, to pierce the stillness of the night with her cry of warning, to make the vampire fear her presence.
Ah, but it would be in vain. Centari knew very well the other predator was arrogant, fearless, and he would either ignore such a warning. Or, use it to turn her attack into her own, untimely demise. Both options seemed just as likely as the other, and each forced her to hold in her cravings just a little longer.
Wait, patiently...He's here, somewhere, hunting.
Centari narrowed her eyes, lifting her muzzle to the sky. Given the fact her senses were as dull as a human's, even if this form, it was wasted effort. But, it was an instinctual part of the hunt, thus she couldn't prevent it. And, allowing instinct to dictate some of her physical movements was all she could do to keep herself from going insane from the torture of waiting.
The suspense was killing her!
Her muscles shuddered and she ran her tongue over each and every fang, imagining the taste and feeling of ripping him apart.
Centari could see herself sinking fangs into his gleaming alloy, feel the pleasure of ripping through it, tearing all interior wiring and gears apart as slowly as possible. She could hear his unearthly screams echoing in her mind as she ripped one eye out, allowing him to keep the other so he could witness his own destruction. She would rip him from limb to limb, tear apart his body, until he was nothing but a pile of scrapheap.
Must find him
She could hardly stand it any more!
These mental images, the overwhelming desire to rip the robot apart, they were driving her mad. She had to find him now, had to have him there so she could stop fantasizing about these violent acts and actually partake in them!
" I'll find him," Centari finally spoke, grunting the words as if she didn't quite believe them. She was enraged the vampire hadn't had the decency to show himself yet, but then she realized he had no idea what she was doing.
To the vampire, she was nothing of importance and nothing he feared. She had merely been the accessory of one of his most recent victims, a flesh creature that had been there to witness his sadistic way of draining other machines.
..She hadn't tried to stop him. Something had happened, something had clicked within her mind upon witnessing that display.
Beautiful savagery
Centari had respected his power.
She snorted at the thought, knowing it was true. As much as she wanted to loathe her fellow creature of the night, she couldn't. She didn't hate the energy vampire, in fact, she admired his power and how swiftly he had been able to gather what he needed...Regardless of the fact it had been her friend whom he attacked.
Centari didn't know what compelled such respect, but supposed it had to be something in her species's ancestral roots, an instinct that carried on even to this day.
A certain type of understanding between predators. They were the same, really. And a less dominant one was unworthy of interrupting another's meal.
The weaker had to be subordinate, submissive, respectful of the more powerful predators. Most likely a survival instinct from the days when power determined position.
That was why, after all, she had targeted him. It was not out of hatred, nor a desire to consume him. It was rivalry, plain and simple. He was a powerful predator, and even though this planet was not his home, already he had earned fearful respect from organic and robot alike. If she could defeat him as well as she imagined, the others would come to realize her own power. Though it hardly meant as much as it would have centuries ago, this primitive 'logic' still dictated her course of action.
Ripping apart the creature that had drained her friend was just sweet irony, a bonus after the deed had been done, and a more feasible excuse to present those that might otherwise shy away from her newfound aggression.
" Come out, come out wherever you are...My little chew toy."
Centari offered her glistening fangs another lick, though shrunk back into the shadows of the night as she heard a sound below her. Finally, after hours of stalking, hours of waiting, he had returned.
Her upper lip curled in a pleased sneer as she observed the vampire below, dangling himself comfterably off of part of the very same building. Every one of her muscles tensed as he withdrew his wings, and she leaned closer to the edge, preparing herself for action.
He really had no idea!
It was almost a laughable matter, that the energy vampire remained completely oblivious to her presence. Her breathing, however restrained, must have produced some noise audible to his sensors, or at the very least he should have been able to detect the presence of radiation that lingered on her artificial arm.
Centari tilted her head, now struck with the notion that the vampire was playing a clever game. Perhaps he really had noticed she was there, and maybe he was just taunting her, bidding her to try and attack so he could swiftly eliminate her to serve as an example.
Yet, on the other hand, maybe he did not believe another creature was capable of defeating him, especially not one made of flesh. And, maybe that smug sense of pride lulled him into the deepest sense of security, made him believe moments such as these were truly private.
No more waiting, strike now
Centari quickly realized she hardly cared anymore, that the hunt needed to meet its epic climax. Deciding to be fair, she gave one audible snarl before lunging off the side of the building at the vampire only a few feet below.
He realized the attack immediately, but had actually been unaware of her presence up to this point. Thus, he was unable to effectively counter her attack, and was forcibly knocked from his perch.
Centari ignored the pain as her body smashed into his, instead focusing solely on embedding her claws into the alloy on his chest. From the look in his blood-red optics, his shock had already diluted into rage and she knew he would strike painfully soon, if they did not hit the ground below first.
She felt her excitement surge, her aggressive side absolutely enthralled to get the chance to have an actual, life-threatening challenge presented to it. The rush of adrenaline coursing through her veins was so wonderful a feeling, she knew she had to make it last. This fight had to go slowly, and according to her pre-determined plan.
Before the energy vampire could speak, Centari leered at him, digging her claws deeper into his alloy just to hear him scream. Laughing cruelly at the very sound, she brought her own fangs closer to his head, fighting the urge to just rip it off. It had to go slow, she wanted him to be afraid of her, to respect her power!
"From one predator to another".
Momentarily satisfied with what shrieking and rage she had caused, Centari pulled away from the vampire and leapt at the wall, digging into it instead to slow her fall.
She watched the vampire continue his descent, feeling morbid pleasure rising as she witnessed the pain she had caused him. It had actually hurt him, her attack had actually worked!
And it pleased her to no end to realize that
Centari felt a hint of disappointment as the energy vampire saved himself from smashing into the ground at the last second, and instead hovered over it, staring at what she had done to him..Almost in surprise.
Then, he offered a murderous glare, the most terrifying glance she had ever seen in her life.
It only encouraged her.
She watched as he released his wings again, grinning as best a creature like her could as he unleashed an unearthly roar. Centari returned it with a howl, challenging him, daring him to try and exact some form of revenge.
"Filthy mongrel", she heard him mutter, amused by his attempts at a derogatory remark. All she wanted to do was rip his alloy apart. She could care less about everything the vampire had to say, his words were unimportant. Still, if he felt like talking, Centari supposed she could indulge.
" My lovely little friend...I'm going to rip you apart, like the scrapheap you are."
To illustrate her point, she licked her fangs once more, than ran her claws against the brick wall behind her.
" Now come on. It's not fun if you don't fight back just a little. You're a predator too, aren't you? Challenge me!"
The vampire seemed torn between confusion and offense, but nevertheless poised himself to strike. In return, Centari braced herself.
The fight had begun, the challenge was issued...She would rip him apart, or die trying.
The better predator would win
