Today is officially the 10 anniversary of the first Lilo & Stitch the movie! According to Save Lilo & Stitch every fan who has a copy of the movie should watch it today as part of their "Lilo & Stitch movie watching day" which I am going to do later on tonight.
But first here's how I fell in love with the movie so many years ago. In 2002 I saw the trailer for the film on TV when it was first released on June 21 but it didn't peak my interest since I was so young and not quite a Disney fan yet. Then in 2003 something I was supposed to do got canceled so I was channel surfing and came across an interesting looking cartoon with aliens and a little girl in a red dress in it(I now know the episode I saw that day was called Yarrp). After a few moments I realized the blue alien and little girl were from the movie "Lilo & Stitch". The next day I went to Toys R Us and bought the VHS(Toys R US sold L&S stuff back then as well as VHS). I almost bought the spanish dub of the movie by mistake until the clerk corrected me. I watched the movie and LOVED EVERY MOMENT OF IT. Next I bought Stitch! the movie and loved that just as much. I watched Lilo & Stitch the series every single day and memorized every single line. And so my love affair with Lilo & Stitch began.
