"Oh. this is a beach? Neat!" Marsha bent down. "Sand?" she picked up a handful and let it fall through her fingers."Cool! How do you build castles with this?"

"Well, you'd have to be closer to the ocean. It's wetter there, so the sand is thicker and it's easier to build things." Breeze smiled at Marsha's curiosity, but hoped against hope that she wouldn't be forced to get too close to the water's edge...

"Ok." Marsha ran to the water's edge,took a big gulp of water then ran back and spat it on the sand where she'd just been.
"Like that?"

Breeze stifled a laugh so as not to hurt Marsha's feelings. "Uh, sand absorbs water, so I don't think that would really work too well..."

Marsha looked crestfallen. "Oh..."
She frowned.
Suddenly,some small red thing scuttled by.
"Ooh...hey..a crab!" she chased it in a circle.

Breeze pulled on the back of Marsha's collar-fur, laughing slightly. "Marsha! Don't hurt the poor crabs, okay?"

Marsha looked upset. "I wasn't gonna hurt him. I was just gonna look at him and chase him." she frowned.

"Ok." Marsha lied down on the sand on her belly and examined the crab from down there.
He snapped at her.
"Eep!" Marsha jumped up and hid behind Breeze. "Ok,I'm done with crabs."
