Akemi looked deep into his eyes. "You'd be surprised...how much it helps sometimes...." She kissed him on the forehead before continuing to walk away.

Shika moaned. "AKEMI! IDIOT! DRUGS HELP NOTHING! Didn't Officer Joe ever come visit your class when you were in the Ninja Academy and do a D.A.R.E. class or something?"

Shika, in complete and total anger, cried, "FINE! BE THAT WAY! FIRST RUN OFF AND GO CAMPING WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND, AND THEN SMOKE POT WITH YOUR OTHER BOYFRIEND! YOU'RE SUCH A GREAT WIFE, YOU KNOW?!" He failed to contain his anger, shaking visibly, and ran inside the house, slamming the door behind him.
Clover appeared at his side and tugged at his sleeve.
"What is it NOW, Bear?"
Clover held out the pot of pot. "It... it helps..."
Shika scowled. "NOT YOU TOO!" He grabbed Clover by the ears and lovingly threw her out the window.

Akemi stopped short. She sniffled, and a tear fell down her cheek. She put out the cigarette and threw it on the ground, not wanting to go back to Shika or Lumi. She didn't need boys, let alone men, right now. She began to cry hysterically and she ran off to find Suki or Emiko.

Emiko met Akemi in the street. Her face was tearlined and panicky. "AKEMI! Have you... have you seen Brye?! I'm afraid he's run off and cracked his head on the ground and gotten eaten by a dog or something!" She let out a sob, before she realized Akemi was crying too. Akemi's eyes looked as if she'd been smoking something, pot most likely. "Oh... umm..." Now she felt slightly embarrassed at this outburst. Akemi's problems were probably much, much worse...

AKemi let out a wail and hugged Emiko, supporting herself with her friend. "I...I...SHIKA!!!" She sobbed, sniffling and crying on Emiko. She choked, "B-brye's fine, I saw him earlier...." And promptly broke into uncontrollable sobs, trying to catch her breath.

Emiko looked slightly uncomfortable and felt extremely awkward that someone was crying on her. NO ONE ever turned to her when they were sad... "It'll be okay, Ke-chan," she said softly, patting Akemi's back in an attempt to be comforting. "C'mon, you wanna come to my house? I'll... I'll make tea... or something."

Akemi simply followed Emiko home, holding onto her sleeve the whole time.
Suki was walking along when she saw Emiko and Akemi. Being the maternal girl that she is, she ran and helped Emiko get Akemi to the house. She asked her friend, "Emi-chan, what happened? Her eyes look....so different...." She tried to figure out what was wrong with Akemi's eyes.

"Oh, don't worry, she just smoked a little pot, no big deal," said Emiko casually. "Blian-kun probably convinced her to smoke it in the park with him... since I refused. I was looking for Brye, but this"--she jestured towards Akemi--"seemed more important. UH!" She heaved Akemi into the house and onto the couch. "You just lay there until you feel better, okay?"

Akemi just shook on the couch, crying uncontrollably. She had no idea how much Shika could hurt her... with only a few words, he had cut her so deep it seemed almost suicide-worthy. "Wanna....die..." She whispered, clenching her hands in a fist so hard it made her bleed. "Get....away....from pain..."
Suki was going insane with worry. "WHAT?! You let Blian.." She corrected herself, "Brian....out of the house when he wanted to get HIGH?! Are you out of your mind?! WHat if he got a hold of the academy students?!?!?" She followed Emiko into the kitchen, ranting and raving at her about responsibility this and life problems that.

"Suki, ch-chill..." Emiko wrung her hands, talking too fast and trying, somehow, to defend herself. "How was I supposed to know Blian wanted to get high? Okay, I did know," she admitted, "but how was I supposed to know I hadn't convinced him not to? Okay, I did know... but how was I supposed to know he was gonna leave looking for a park? Okay, I did know... but how was I supposed to know he wanted a partner to smoke pot with. Okay, I did know... you know what? I'm gonna shut up now. Okay? Okay." She went into the living room just in time to hear Akemi ranting about death to herself. She ran back into the kitchen, grabbing her arm and pulling her back to Akemi. "I was gonna make tea, but... listen to this..."
