Lumiere was in a rut. He couldn't go home to France without explaining to the Master why he'd been gone ("A ninja with plot-changing jutsu poofed me to Japan so she could make a quick buck and I got sidetracked by my former love, who used to stay at this castle and make fun of you"--that would go over real well) but he couldn't stay in Konoha, because here was Akemi, and try as he might, he could not be around Akemi when she didn't love him. He'd been so close to having her back, but now... now he'd almost lost hope that he'd ever have her back at all...

In France, the beast inside Prince Adam (sealed there four years ago by a ninja by the name of Akemi Fujisako) was stirring...

((Ooooh plotness.....))

Suki sighed. "We really didn't!!" She said truthfully, "I haven't done....that....in a year." She blushed and looked away.

Princeton turned on her quick as a whip. "WHAT?! With WHO?!" He sighed. "Ah, right, that would be your husband... Lee, is it? I see."

Lumiere walked outside. He had no idea where he was going or what he should do, but he let his feet lead him blindly, not caring if they walked him off a cliff as long as they did SOMETHING. In fact, if they walked him to his doom, maybe everything would be better that way....

Suki hung her head. "I'm...I'm sorry....."

Princeton let out a deep breath he didn't even remember holding in. "It's... fine." He tried to sound calm and uncaring, without one bit of jealousy, but he couldn't keep the despair out of his voice. "He's your husband, after all. You can do whatever you want to with him."
