"Alright, I'll have to see how many we have left. I might have to make a new batch, but it won't take long."
"Link, what about our date?"
"You mean sleeping out under the stars at Lake Hylia? We can do that tomorrow, but we have guests tonight, and we need to make sure that they have a place to stay. Which means that we'll have to escort them to Kakariko Village, and then ride back it night, which isn't particularly dangerous if you're with me, but still, the Ordon Province is safer than Lanayru province, especially considering the bridge is easy to get trapped on. We have to go now if we want to get everything done and still have a good nights sleep. The village is this way." He said as he pointed towards Faron Woods.

Yukito frowned. "Excuse me, but we're not barging in or anything, are we? If you two were going to go on a date..." He turned to Toya for support. "...we wouldn't want to interrupt or make your evening uncomfortable."
"The man seems to be fine with it," Toya replied. "He's probably just fascinated by the strange species of monster traveling with us and wants to check it out, heh. Maybe he and his girlfriend will dissect it or something. After all, that's more interesting than any date."
"ONIICHAN!" Sakura raised a fist to her brother's head, but of course only came up to his lower chest and couldn't pack much of a punch. "I hate you so much sometimes!"
"There, there, Sakura-chan." Tomoyo giggled shallowly, a sound very out-of-character for her. Even though she addressed Sakura, her eyes were on Eriol still. Hadn't there been a time when she wouldn't have missed an opportunity to look at Sakura for anything? "Toya-san is just teasing."
"Well, it's still not nice," Sakura muttered, crossing her arms across her chest grumpily.
Syaoran took her into his arms consolingly. "I have my sword right here," he breathed into her ear. "Want me to slice your obnoxious brother in two for you, Sakura?"
Sakura let out a belting laugh and pulled away from her boyfriend grinning. "Tempting, but no thanks, Syaoran. Let's wait until we get to the village for that."

"Well, actually, Malon is my wife. We've been technically married for almost 1000 years, but that's counting the time in between incarnations of Hyrule. Additionally, I've seen a lot of strange monsters here, so Sakura is hardly a "strange species" as you said. Take note, that the original forest, has been separated from the new area, and is accessible only by teleportation." He pointed out the entrance to the Sacred Grove as they rode past it.

Toya shrugged carelessly. "Whatever. I've never seen anything stranger than the little squirt here, but that's just me I guess."
"Ooh, I remember that forest!" Sakura cooed, craning her neck to see and pointedly ignoring Toya's provocation. "Wow, things really are different here, aren't they...?"
"But the people you love are still the same, remember," Syaoran said in an attempt to cheer her up. With a sudden spark of inspiration, Syaoran marched straight up to Link and glared him in the eyes. He'd grown quite a bit in past two years, but still had to tilt his head upward due to Link being seated on Epona. "Hey, Tourguide."

Link blinked, confused. Then, he almost fell off Epona laughing. "I- HAHAHA- remember HAHAHAHA now." He continued to laugh all the way back to his house. "Wait here," he said. "I'll go get the cakes." A few moments later, he reappeared. "It looks like there are just enough cakes for all of you, so enjoy." He handed the tray down to Malon, and then climbed down the ladder, walked over to Epona and jumped on. "I'm going to get the carriage from Fado, it's big enough to hold all of you, and only Epona can pull it, it's custom made." He then rode off into the village, returning about ten minutes later with a carriage in tow. "Everyone pile in, and you can use the lantern inside if you want." He then fixed his own lantern to his belt, and spurred Epona forwards.

Inside the carriage all was bright and merry as the five children, two adults, and one magical creature happily munched on their cakes. Even Meilin, still sour for fear that Eriol would steal her girl, couldn't help enjoying herself a little. Between bites, Syaoran sighed and bowed his head. Sakura turned to him, concerned for her boyfriend as she caught sight of his expression.
"I was hoping Tourguide would call me Student again," Syaoran mumbled gloomily. "I thought that would make you laugh, Sakura. You know how I love it when you laugh."
Sakura, upon hearing the source of Syaoran's unhappiness, burst into hysterical chortles, which made Syaoran's smile return at full blast. "Syaoran, it's been a thousand years. You can't expect Link-san to remember everything."
"I'm shocked that he remembered you at all, actually," Yukito mused, having finished his cake in record time. "Link-san must have a very good memory..."
"Well, Eriol-kun remembers things from when he was Clow-san," Sakura supplied thoughtfully, turning to the boy in question to make sure her words were correct. "Right, Eriol-kun?"
"I'm sorry, Sakura-san, but I happen to be rather busy at the moment." Eriol was struggling with an enraged Kero, who having already devoured his piece of cake was now trying to steal Eriol's. As Eriol turned to speak to Sakura, however, his concentration failed him for a split-second, and Kero was able to take a large, triumphant bite. "Ack! Cerberus!" However, Eriol sounded more amused than annoyed. "You haven't changed at all since I was Clow."
"Here, Eriol-kun." Blushing madly, Tomoyo held out half of her cake. "You can have some of mine since Kero-chan took yours."
"Huh?" Eriol gave her a blank look. "Are you sure, Tomoyo-san?"
Tomoyo nodded. Eriol took the cake carefully and gently, brushing against each of her fingers as he did so. "Thank you ever so much."
Meilin scowled.

As Link rode towards Kakariko Village, he sensed something out of place. He turned around just in time to see 20 Bokoblins running towards the carriage. I cu/ld easily outrun them, but it would still lead them to the village. "Monsters behind us!" He called back. "Get any and all weapons ready!" He drew his the sword that Rusl had made him as he said this. "Here we go again," he muttered under his breath.

"Ah!" Sakura flushed and fumbled inside her shirt for the Star Key. What's the incantation to use it again? Key that hides the powers of the... dark...? No, that's the Clow Staff, darn it! I have to think harder... um...
"Sakura, look out!"
"Ho--AHH!" Syaoran having broken her out of a reverie, Sakura leapt out of the way just in time to see Eriol's sun-shaped key transform into an enormously long, thin staff.
After catching it nimbly with inhuman grace, Eriol turned apologetically to Sakura. "I'm sorry. I didn't see you there, I guess, Sakura-san. I didn't hit you with this, did I?"
Sakura shook her head nervously. "N-no." Eriol looked unconvinced due to her shaky voice, but her fear was due to something else. How do I activate the Star Key? It's been so long...
Syaoran closed his eyes and held out his keychain, which soon materialized into a magical sword. Meilin delightfully rummaged in her bag until she found the sword she had received on her last trip to Hyrule, which she had since mastered precision-work with, taught by Syaoran in her free time. Tomoyo's hands met her video camera with a grin, and Kero and Yukito readied themselves to transform as soon as they exited the carriage.
Scowling bitterly, Toya put a rough hand on Yukito's delicate shoulder. "Yuki, the others have this covered. You don't need to--"
"Yue knows Hyrule better than anyone," Yukito protested stubbornly. "Besides, I can't keep him locked up inside me forever, Toya. It's just not right. You know how unpleasant it is to be kept inside someone else's body all the time?!"
"Of course it is," muttered Toya unhappily, turning away as color flooded his cheeks. "That's why I don't want you to have to do it."
"Toya..." Yukito laughed lightly and took Toya's hand in his, squeezing it gently to get his love's attention. "I'll be fine. Don't worry about me."
"I just wish I could help in some way, Yuki."
"You can, Toya... by being here for me when I get back."
Toya grinned one of his rare, kind smiles. "Okay."
"Sakura, what's wrong?"
All eyes turned to her now as Syaoran's concerned words made them wonder. Sakura sat clutching the Star Key tightly between her fingers, her eyes clamped shut. When she heard her boyfriend's words, however, she sighed and forced herself to open them. "Nothing, Syaoran," Sakura chirped with a very unreal smile. She stared at the Key in her hand for a fraction of a second too long before throwing it into the air before her. Here goes nothing!
"Key that... hides the forces of... the stars! Reveal... your true form before me! I, Sakura, by the covenant... command you...
"RELEASEEEEE!"
Pleased that she had finally remembered, Sakura caught the Star Wand with one hand, but refrained from twirling it as she'd used to so as not to hit anyone in the head. Blushing madly, she asked the group as a whole, "So what is everyone waiting for? Let's go!"
((ahhhh long post. second time I've used unhappy in this story, whee. <3 producers references make me happy lol.))

Link leaped into battle, slashing and spinning. However, the Bokoblins seemed to be unaffected by his sword. He leaped back and summoned his bow, nocking an arrow and letting it fly almost instantaneously. The arrow hit it's mark, but did no apparent damage. Link sprang into the air and brought his sword down on the nearest foe, slicing it in half. "I can't do that 20 times," he said to no one in particular. He pulled out the Gale Boomerang and threw it at an approaching monster. The boomerang sliced cleanly through the fiend, and returned to Link's hand. Okay, so magical weapons work ten times better than normal ones. No problem, the boomerang should be enough. He began to take down the monsters in small groups of two or three, when it occurred to him that if he were to face more of these resilient monsters at a later time, he would need some upgraded weaponry. He pushed the thought out of his head and returned his focus to the danger surrounding him.

While Tomoyo film ecstatically and Toya watched with wide eyes, Syaoran and Meilin flew forward with their swords seemingly as one being as they slashed through everything in their way with martial arts-style movements. Slightly behind them but not far, Sakura ran nimbly with the Sword Card in her hand, trying her best to kill the enemies in front of them. Ohhh, I should have taken lessons with Syaoran too! It's so embarrassing to have Meilin-chan be better than me at this stuff! She made a firm mental note to train harder in the future. Maybe Link-san will help me.
Huge, identical sets of white wings enveloped Kero and Yukito, who appeared moments later as Yue and a powerful flying lion. Yue flew into the heart of the battle with his usual ice shards; Kero hovered overtop of the Bokoblins and attacked with fiery gusts of breath. Eriol stood next to Tomoyo and Toya, every so often lazily angling his staff to face one of the Bokoblins and taking each down with an invisible blast.
Though Toya's eyes stayed carefully trained on Yue, Tomoyo's attention wavered from the battle to Eriol once she noticed what he was doing. "You could kill all of them at once if you wanted to, couldn't you, Eriol-kun?" she asked curiously.
Eriol chuckled modestly. "I suppose so, Tomoyo-san, if I truly desired it."
"But you don't want to, because then the others would miss a fight that they very much want to take part in," Tomoyo answered her own unasked question with a smile. "Am I right, Eriol-kun?"
Eriol smiled mischievously in her direction. Tomoyo blushed. "Perhaps, Tomoyo-san, you are indeed correct."

Link slashed through the last Bokoblin and let the tip of his sword rest on the ground. He was breathing heavily, and he was hyper-aware of his surroundings. "Back in the carriage, now," his voice was monotone. "There'll be more soon, we need to get to the village." Once everyone was inside, he leaped back into the saddle and rode towards the gate, which was not far from where they had stopped.

"That was a quickie," Meilin bragged to all who would listen as the carriage pulled away once more. "We really whooped those monster's butts! Did you see when I stabbed that one in the eye?"
Syaoran sighed. "Meilin, that was a complete accident. You were scared you weren't going to be able to get your sword out ever again."
"But I did," Meilin bragged haughtily. "And the monster went away too. So I get double points!"
Sakura yawned and leaned her head downwards so that it was resting on Syaoran's shoulder. He smiled and let her keep it there. Toya watched Syaoran with contempt in his eyes, but was soon interrupted by Yukito's warm embrace.
"I'm glad you hear you had fun, Meilin." Meilin turned, surprised, to find Tomoyo just a few inches away, her face breathlessly beautiful in its wistful state. "I got some great shots of you out there!"
Meilin frowned. "But you were talking to Eriol-kun, Tomoyo."
"No one and nothing could ever take my camera's lens away from you, Meilin!" Tomoyo gushed. "My spotlight is where you truly belong! You look amazing no matter what, and I'm so happy to be able to film your adventures through life!"
Meilin grinned. Even if Eriol liked Tomoyo, she knew that she had the upper hand on this one. "Hai!"

Epona stopped in front of the Elde Inn, where Renado, the shaman of the village was standing. Renado, could you see to it that these folks have rooms in the inn? I'll be paying for them tomorrow, so just write the amount down."
"Of course Link," Renado said in his usual even voice. "I see your search has borne fruit at last. It is an honor to meet you Malon, Link has told me much about you. All positive, of course." Malon smiled. "It's good to meet you too Renado, Link tells me that your medical skills are second to none in Hyrule."
"Even though you won't admit it," Link interjected.
"No more than you will admit to being a hero," came the reply. Link was silent for a moment, then decided to change the subject. "Would you mind if I left the carriage here for the night, and picked it up tomorrow?"
"It will be no trouble at all." Link unhooked the carriage, and got back into Epona's saddle.
"Thanks Renado," Link called over his shoulder as he rode back out into the field.

"Renado-san," Sakura muttered sleepily from her place on Syaoran's shoulder. "I have to remember to talk to him tomorrow... I want to meet everyone in this new Hyrule... and make friends with all of them."
"Sounds like a nice goal, Sakura," Syaoran told her gently, running his hand routinely through her short, light brown hair. No matter how often he did it, Syaoran would never tire of the little things: the moments where he was reminded that Sakura was his.
"Hai... Syaoran..." Despite wanting to see as much of Hyrule as she could, Sakura slowly let her eyes slide close. Traveling always made her tired. And there was always tomorrow.
"Well, I think that tour guide or whatever you called him shouldn't be paying for all of us," Toya grumbled to himself. "That must cost a fortune. We'll be indebted to him forever."
Yukito sighed. "Toya, you need to learn to accept gifts and not always feel the need to pay them back. If it makes Link-san happy to pay for us, then you're giving him a gift right there by making him feel good about himself."
"Yeah, Oniichan," Kero said mockingly, curled up on a seat cushion beside Eriol. "You needa learn to take things without complaining."
"Kero-chan, you're exactly the opposite," Sakura mumbled. "You need to learn how to give."

Once they were in the forest, Link decided to give Epona a break, and dismounted along with Malon. They were walking down the path towards the village, when Link fell to his knees, eyes shut tightly. "Link!" Malon bent down and put a hand an his shoulder.
Link's eyes shot open. "I saw water, water everywhere. A massive ocean with islands. There were only two sages," he turned to face Malon. "You and Zelda were the same person."
"A memory?"
"No, a different Hyrule, an alternate universe, so to speak."
"So, it's happening right now, in another Hyrule?"
"Yeah. Weird huh?"
"Is this going to become a trilogy?" Malon asked.
"Probably, there might even be more. You know, completely fabricated time periods, and stuff like that."
Just then, a blue hedgehog appeared in front of them.
Link jumped up. "Who are you and what are you doing here?"
"You came into my story, so I'm coming into yours. Fairs fair."
"Look, take it up with me 1000 years ago, okay? Check the first story."
"We're not in a office building, and there's no elevator."
"That's not what I meant..."
"Link, who is that?" Malon asked, stunned by the hedgehog's sudden appearance.
"I don't think it's really important, the story is about to resume anyways."
"Well, I'll catch you later," said the strange animal immediately before he disappeared.
The couple returned to their house, and were asleep the second their heads hit the pillows.
