"Is the Fierce Diety, you know... fierce?" Meilin couldn't help but ask.
Syaoran gave her a pointed glare. "Meilin..." he groaned.
Eriol offered her a kind smile, to which she gave the most angry look anyone had ever seen. "I'm sure that's just his name, Meilin-san. Don't be afraid." Tomoyo chose that moment to giggle and turn on her camera, which just made Meilin scowl harder.
Sakura tightened her grip on the Star Wand. "I hope he's not too fierce," she mumbled softly to herself. "But even if he is, I'm sure we'll be all right!"
"I'm sure we can take 'em, monster," Toya drawled with a reassuring smile, ruffling his sister's hair affectionately. Then he turned to Yukito. "You should turn into Yue, just for safety's sake."
Yukito gave a resolute nod. After his lead, Kero followed suit, and soon white wings had enveloped the two of them and transformed them into their true forms. They were ready.

Link lead the group into the next room. "Wait...I've been here before." Just then, a very large spider dropped from what was presumably the ceiling. In the center of it's head was a glowing orange eye, surrounded by a magical barrier.
"Malon, remember that story I told you about Queen Gohma?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
"That's Queen Gohma!" Link yelled as the spider kicked a large rock in their direction. "It's eye is the weak point. We need to take down the barrier!" He shouted.

Chelsea modified her post for Sam's enjoyment and because she too realized upon reading it again that it was kind of a crappy post. Also, she would like to recognize that she is very glad this thing will be starting up again for the first time in, like, ever!
Back to the story.
Meilin had never liked spiders, and although she was much too proud to indulge in screaming, she let out a little choking sort of noise and slowly started to back away, dragging her sword on the ground. "Uhh... is that... the Fierce Diety you were talking about, Link-san?"
"Link-san said its name was Gohma-sama," Sakura provided helpfully, though really she was kind of confused as to how a spider could be a queen. "So I don't think so, Meilin-chan."
"Well, Gohma-sama or not, it looks pretty fierce to me!" Meilin shot back.
On the other hand, Syaoran was actually paying attention to the battle, god forbid. "Its eye, huh?" he asked quietly, thrusting his sword experimentally a few inches into the air in front of him. "And a magic barrier..." He turned to Link then with determination in his eyes. "Do you think Sakura could get through the barrier with her magic, maybe using the Sword Card? It can cut through anything, even magical anythings."
"What?!" Sakura sort of panicked at the sound of her name. "Um... a magic barrier... couldn't Link-san break through it? He knows what we're fighting, I mean, and, um, I can't, I mean, I've never..." She was still rusty with her magic after not using it for so long, and she was kind of afraid she wouldn't be able to save them. It was also kind of a big factor that she didn't want to embarrass herself in front of Link, who she really cared about. Syaoran knew this, of course. Why would he suggest her to do it? "I don't think that's the best idea," she finished weakly.

"Well, the Master Sword should work in theory, but I don't see why a little teamwork would hurt us. Go ahead, give it a try. Queen Ghoma isn't exactly the heaviest hitter. Besides, do you think Syaoran would let her come anywhere near hitting you?" Link replied as he gave Sakura a reassuring grin.

Sakura relaxed a little at these words. Link was right; Syaoran would never let her get hurt, period. She took in a deep breath and pulled the Sword Card from her pocket, turning her staff once again into the powerful steel with a single word. "SWORD!"
"Teamwork is good," Syaoran agreed. "I'll help too then, and I'm sure Yue and the plush toy would be more than willing to fight anything that comes our way." He purposefully left out Meilin, who was kind of cowering behind Toya hoping not to be noticed, and Eriol, who Syaoran knew could fight but had no respect for.
"Why does Yue get to be called by name?" Kero half-moaned, half-growled. "Why am I always just 'the plush toy'?"
"Why are Meilin and I the 'kid' and the 'brat' to you?" Syaoran asked with a smirk.
"Why is he the 'Tourguide'?" Kero shot back, pointing a paw at Link.
"That's different," Syaoran protested. "Tourguide is... well... he's actually our tour guide," he finished weakly. It made sense in his head.

"Why don't we discuss this after we get rid of the giant killer spider?" cried Malon as she dodged one of Ghoma's legs. Link dashed forwards and slid underneath the legs of the oversized arachnid. He then leapt into the air and landed on the creature's back. "Now would be a great time to attack the shield Sakura!" he yelled as the spider tried to throw him off.
