After the trek back to the bottom of the mountain and making sure that everyone was settled back into their rooms, Link sighed and sank to the ground, exhausted. Malon sat down next to him. "So, have you been thinking about what I said?"
"Yeah, but the problem is, I'm always going on adventures, getting into dangerous situations or something else that keeps me away from home. I can't have a family if I'm never home."
"Well, you could always retire from being a hero."
"No, I can't."
"Why not?"
In the distance, a giant beam of dark magic shot into Hyrule Field. Sounds of a large battle could be heard soon afterwards.
"That's why," Link said as he leaped onto Epona's back and took off towards the field.

Aro Volturi stood in the middle of the field with a huge grin spread wide across his pale face. Deep red eyes that were cloudy from age narrowed happily as the light of day reflected off his skin, throwing diamonds into the air. Caius and Marcus, the other Volturi ancients, flanked his right and left sides: Marcus, as always, looking bored with the situation, and Caius looking cold and calculating. It was him who spoke first.
"So you're quite sure this will work, Aro? The humans will be led to us through this distraction, and then we can overpower them with ease?"
Aro laughed, his face delighted in a creepy sort of way. The happier Aro looked, the less human he seemed. "Yes indeed, Caius, my dear friend. We will have the others in our clutch in no time."
Suddenly, however, a fifteen-year-old human boy walked out into the field with his arms crossed and his gaze angry. Aro surveyed him daintily. "How may we help you?" the vampire asked politely.
"I remember clearly saying that vampires will most certainly NOT fit in the story," Sam said coldly.
Aro grinned. Caius scowled. Marcus went on looking bored.
"Well it appears we are not wanted, friends," Aro said mysteriously with a grand hand gesture. "Let us go."
And they vanished from the story as if they had never come.
The moral of this post is to never, ever remind Chelsea of the Volturi when she is writing a story and has just finished reading Breaking Dawn.
Anyway, the group walked down the hill in the same formation as before, villian-less still. However, all heads jerked up at the first sound of battle, and they hurried off towards the field with each of their own means: Sakura with the Fly Card's wings sprouting from her back, Kero and Yukito transforming into their true forms to fly with her, and the others as fast as their legs could carry them.

Link arrived at the field to see a large group of Hylian soldiers surrounding something. However, they were being knocked aside by whatever it was that they were facing like they were feathers. In no time, there were no more soldiers surrounding the foe, leaving Link with a clear view, and what he saw made his blood run cold.
An incredibly tall, armored man with a sword that was shaped like a double helix faced him. His face was marked with colored paints, and his eyes had no pupils.
"No..." Link breathed.
"Oh yes, it's me. Did you really think that throwing my mask into Death Mountain would do away with me? What do you think this is, Lord of the Masks? HA! Oh, the green hero has his sword out, I'm so scared. Do youhonestly think that you con touch me with that pathetic blade?"
"You'd be surprised, Rusl is a very good sword smith."
"We'll see," the man said darkly. Link didn't even have time to blink. The man appeared in frond of him and brought his sword down with tremendous force. Link brought his sword up to block it, but the helical sword slashed cleanly through it. Link barely had time to bring up his shield to block the attack properly, and even so, he was sent flying off his horse and into a tree. Link regained his footing in time to see a fist heading towards him. The punch created a shock wave, and sent Link halfway across the field. Link struggled to his feet, drawing his bow. He fired an arrow at his foe, but the weapon was burnt to ashes before it got anywhere near it's target. Link braced himself for the next attack. Unfortunately, it came from behind him, sending him back towards the village. As he flew through the air, Link managed to latch onto a tree with his clawshot and swing back into his saddle. Epona galloped back into the village without being told. Link dismounted and shut the gate, making sure to activate the magical wards that made it so strong. He did the same at the other entrance to the village, before slipping into unconsciousness.

As the group hurried to the field, careful to stay together even though the ones in flight could easily go much faster, a very serious air engulfed everyone. Each member of the group was prepared to fight--or film--to the very last of their abilities to help out this country they had only just met, yet had known for a very long time. Yue sighed, clearly annoyed by the lack of speed he was forced to use. "What are we even facing? I've never felt anything like it before. Its presence is unique, and very strong." Yue closed his eyes and sighed once more, all eyes on him now as he flew above the childrens' heads. "Clow, do you have any idea what this is? If anyone would know, it would be you." Eriol laughed and shook his head very slightly as he ran. "Yue, how many times do I have to tell you that I'm not Clow Reed? Please call me Eriol. And as for what we're fighting, I can't be sure, but I think--" Suddenly the magical members of the group all stopped dead in their tracks--Sakura, Yue, and Kero frozen in midair, Eriol and Syaoran immobile on the ground. Tomoyo, Meilin, and Toya looked around curiously for some cue, some hint to their friends' behavior. "Why are we stopping?" Meilin whined. "You guys can't possibly be tired yet, and Link-san needs our help!" "Is something wrong?" Toya demanded. "Link-san... changed direction very abruptly," Sakura mumbled, staring straight ahead. "He's not near the other magical presence anymore, but it hasn't gotten any weaker, so he hasn't destroyed it. On the other hand, Link-san..." Sakura's voice failed her. Link-san!"Tourguide's presence just diminished violently," Syaoran said somberly. "I can barely feel his magic at all anymore." Dead silence. "He's by the village," Kero supplied nervously, flying backwards so that his head could rest in Sakura's arms. Syaoran gazed up at her, a pained expression on his face. Tomoyo and Eriol looked at each other, biting their lips in fear. Meilin stared at the ground. Yue sighed again. "I guess those of us who can fly should go on ahead and make sure he's not hurt," he said, sounding quite bored with the whole affair of things. "The rest of you will catch up whenever you get to the village." Sakura struggled to keep tears out of her eyes as she nodded. "Yue-san is right. If Link-san needs help immediately, we don't want to waste any time. Let's go." The girl and her guardians flew forward at breakneck speed, reaching the village in mere moments. There it was a simple matter to find Link, unconscious on the ground. Sakura drew in breath sharply. Link had defeated Ganondorf barely breaking a sweat. What could possibly have enough power to defeat Link? -- Meanwhile, without their leaders, the group quickly divided. Toya, with the longest legs, zoomed on ahead, not liking to leave his Yukito alone for any period of time. Syaoran and Meilin, both quite fast in their own rights, ran a little ways behind him, and Eriol and Tomoyo took up the rear. Tomoyo, however, was slightly confused with this decision on his part. Eriol had been so fast on the trip up the hill... "Eriol-kun, you're a fast runner, aren't you?" Tomoyo asked, her breath coming in gasps. "Why are you running back here with me?" Eriol smiled. "And you also are extremely magically powerful," Tomoyo added with a frown. "So I'm sure you could fly if you really wanted to. Why are you running? Why aren't you up ahead with Sakura-chan and Kero-chan?" Eriol smiled. "Are you worried about me being lonely? Because if I wanted them to, Meilin and Syaoran-kun would slow down to keep me company. Even Toya-san probably would if I asked him. Why did you stay?" Eriol smiled. "Sakura-chan could probably use your help, if Link-san's hurt..." Eriol smiled. "...Eriol-kun?" "Tomoyo-san..." Eriol's voice was perfectly even, as if he was standing still instead of jogging. "Maybe my reasons for staying behind aren't for you. Maybe I would be lonely if I went on ahead. Maybe I don't want you to run with Meilin-san. Maybe I want to be with you forever." Tomoyo's heart thumped and her eyes widened. "Wh-whaaaat?" Surely she had to be reading too much into this, because if what she thought Eriol was saying was true, then... "Eriol-kun, you know I love Meilin, right?" Eriol smiled. ((omg Yue reminds me so much of Marcus Volturi. -shot repeatedly-))

Link slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was Malon's face. Her eyes were red and she looked as if she hadn't slept in a long time.
"Link! You're awake!" she cried as she encircled him with her arms.
"How long was I out?"
"Three days, plus half of today."
"Remember that story I told you about the Fierce Deity, and how the mask was pure evil?"
"Of course, how could I forget a story like that."
"He's escaped from the mask."
"What?!"
"He was tho source of the dark magic beam. He's here in this world. Not as a mask, but as a living embodiment of evil." Just then, Sakura and her friends walked into the room.

THREE DAYS EARLIER
"YUKI!"
Yue turned automatically to see Toya panting near the village's entrance, his eyes widening as he spied Link on the ground. Yue sighed and walked slowly to Toya's side.
Toya smiled. "So you're okay, Yuki?"
"I am not Yukito," Yue told him firmly, a scowl on his pale face. He rolled his eyes. "I am nothing like Yukito. Please do not call me by his name."
"You call that kid 'Clow,' Yuki," Toya protested with a grin, "even though he's not Clow Reed."
"That's different," Yue huffed. Clow was a sensitive subject for him still. "Clow has been reincarnated with the same personality and all of his memories. I do not see why he refuses to accept Clow's name."
"Well, you have all of Yukito's memories and his personality," Toya chuckled.
Yue scowled. "Yes, I have all of his gluttonous, disgusting memories," he grumbled in distaste. "But that still does not mean we are the same person. We have totally separate minds." Yue pursed his lips together and avoided Toya's eyes. "We have totally separate people that we care about."
"Because Yuki loves me, but you love Clow, Yue?"
Even though Toya had used his name for the first time, a true scowl passed over Yue's face that took ahold of his usual boredom in an instant. "Clow is dead!" Yue spat. "Nothing can bring the dead back to life, no matter how much you wish it! You and Yukito might have your little repulsive romantic skit every day, but nothing will ever bring back Clow to me!" His mouth was curled down into a grimace, but his eyes betrayed his true emotions as Toya noticed that they didn't match his anger: they showed nothing but pain.
"I'm so sorry about Clow," uttered Toya softly. "But you don't have to take out your anger on everyone else. You're right, Yuki. Nothing can bring back the dead. But Clow is in a better place now, and he's happy. Wouldn't he want you to be happy too?"
Slowly, Yue lowered his head until his long, white hair had completely obscured his eyes. Finally he spoke a few strained words aloud: "The tour guide is unconscious. I cannot do him any help now. I'm turning back into my temporary form."
Toya smiled slightly as Yue vanished and Yukito appeared blinking before him. Soon Syaoran and Meilin arrived at a sprint and the group was able to carry Link into a nearby house. Eriol and Tomoyo ran into the village last, much later than the others. Eriol was still beaming, but Tomoyo looked deeply unsettled. They were holding hands. Meilin said nothing.
------
TODAY
"Link-san!" Sakura cried, flying forward onto the bed to embrace her old friend. "You're finally awake!" A huge smile stretched from ear to ear of Sakura's face. It was clear from her immense relief that she had once been doubting he would ever wake up at all. "I'm so glad you're okay, Link-san!" She laughed.
"Tourguide," Syaoran breathed from the doorway, a smile playing on his lips. "I'm glad."
"Ooh, I'm so mad at you, Link-san," muttered Meilin grumpily. "We were all so worried about you! Never make us worry like that again!"
A little yellow lion floated happily onto the edge of Link's bed. "Glad to see you're okay, kid," he said with a smile.

"It's good to see you guys too," Link said wearily. "Look, I have a story that you all need to hear. A long time ago, before the creation of Hyrule and Termina, there were two demons, Majora, and the Fierce Deity. They were locked in an endless battle, each trying to prove that they were more evil than the other. They would have fought forever, had Din, Farore, and Nayru stepped in. They turned the demons into masks, and locked them in the Evil Realm. Now, around 1000 years ago, I drew the Master Sword for the first time. I didn't know it then, but the Master Sword was the key that kept the Evil Realm sealed. By pulling it from the Pedestal of Time, I unleashed Ganon's true power, as well as the masks. After I defeated Ganon, I went to Termina, where Majora's mask was wreaking havoc. The mask was going to cause the moon to crash into Termina, so I set off to stop it. I found the Fierce Deity mask along the way, and I used it in the battle against Majora. The mask I used was pure evil, and it nearly corrupted me. However, I drew strength from my love for Malon, and was able to take the mask off. I threw the mask into Death Mountain, thinking that I had destroyed it. As I found out three days ago, I was wrong. The Fierce Deity has escaped from the mask, and is running rampant throughout Hyrule as we speak. Any questions?"

Sakura, Syaoran, Meilin, and Kero listened intently, and Link's story was followed with a fairly long pause. Meilin, who had known Link for the shortest amount of time out of the four of them, was still having trouble getting used to the way he stated such terrible facts so calmly. This pause probably would have gone on for a good few minutes except for the fact that Toya and Yukito chose that moment to the enter the room.
"Hey, look who's awake," Toya said with a smirk.
Yukito smiled warmly and walked forward to greet the tour guide. "Link-san! Well, I'm glad you're feeling better. Toya and I were just walking by, and we couldn't help overhearing your story..." His face then took on a slightly more serious tone, closer to Yue's usual expression than his false form's. "Is that what knocked you unconscious three days ago?"
Meanwhile Sakura asked to no one in particular, "Where the heck are Eriol-kun and Tomoyo-chan?"
Chelsea responded, "I have NO idea, but I hate writing for like twenty people at the same time, so they're off 'planning for their surprise.'"
Sakura asked again, "What is this mysterious surprise?"
Chelsea responded, "I have absolutely no idea. It was just a plot device so I could have relationship issues and some Tomoyo/Eriol while still keeping Tomoyo/Meilin as story cannon."
"You really have no idea where you're going with any of this and you call yourself a writer?" Sakura accused.
"Remember in the last story when I forgot to post for Kero-chan for like five posts and then I decided he 'disappeared to go talk to the Six Sages' as an excuse?" Chelsea replied. "That's the way I roll. I forget things and then I make up for them in stupid ways."
"Why are you even having this conversation with me anyway?" asked Sakura, vaguely annoyed by the whole incident. "It breaks the fourth wall, it doesn't help the plot, and it makes no sense at all. You must be jet-lagged or something today because you're spouting three-page-long posts, posts where you have long, unrelated conversations with yourself, and you brought Aro-san into the story even though Samu-san said no and it didn't help the plot at all."
"But this is so FUN," Chelsea said with a laugh. "This actually started as a little note at the bottom where I was simply informing Sam that I actually had no idea where Eriol and Tomoyo were, and now it's blossomed into this. My eyes are also dead because while Sam was posting and afterwards I was reading the story behind New Moon on Stephanie Meyer's website and I was staring at the same color for like half an hour and my eyes are really, really messed up and so is my brain."
Yukito cleared his throat loudly. Sakura turned around to see that everyone in the room was staring at her, some looking concerned, some trying hard to keep from laughing. "Well, anyway, is that what knocked you unconscious three days ago, Link-san?" Yukito repeated, sounding embarrassed.
Sakura sweatdropped. The others were waiting for an explanation from her. "H-hoeee... I was just, um... talking to myself, sorry..."
Chelsea finished her post with the assumption that she must be on drugs or something because her mind is soooooo messed up right now.

"To answer your question Yukito, yes, the Fierce Deity knocked me out for three days. The worst part..." He trailed off as he stood up rather shakily. "The worst part, is that he wasn't even trying," he said in a grave tone. "He's practically invincible, incredibly strong, and too fast to see. There is one way to defeat him, but it's nearly impossible." Link held up his hand, where the three golden triangles of the Triforce glowed. One of the triangles was brighter than the other two. "I am the bearer of the Triforce of Courage. Farore's champion. Princess Zelda is the bearer of the Triforce of Wisdom. Nayru's scholar. Ganondorf was the bearer of the Triforce of Power. Din's sword. If one were to posses all three pieces of the Triforce, the Fierce Deity could be killed. However, when Ganondorf died, the Triforce of Power left him, and now nobody knows where it is." Link finished his story, as he sat back down and sipped a potion.

There was another long silence after this comment, partially because the others were stunned, partially because Chelsea has no idea what to write, and partially because her eyes are STILL dead and she STILL likes writing disturbingly-long posts that break the fourth wall. And reading about Twilight for an hour has made her want to write about vampires but she obviously can't in this story because it's irrelevant and overdone.
Anyway.
"So we need to find the Triforce of Power, is that it?" Syaoran asked determinedly. "I know some tracking magic from Hong Kong, and Sakura has all the Cards she can use. I'm sure there's some way we can find it, right, Tourguide?"
"It doesn't sound like it's that simple, kid," Kero said gravely. "When someone with magical power dies, the power usually goes with them. Remember when Sakura was creating Sakura Cards and they took so much power that she passed out after using them? Even if she didn't mean to end the magic, it stopped as soon as she passed out and her power was cut off. Clow was the most powerful magician who ever lived, next to Sakura, and it took all of his strength to make sure the Cards survived after he died. Even then, he could only make them live on for three hundred years before they would have lost their power. While it's unlikely that the Cards' power would have disappeared, no one knows where the power would have went--certainly no where on the earth that's tangible. That's why it would be so difficult to find the Triforce of Power. When Ganondorf's power was cut off, so was the power of the Triforce."
"We can do it!" Meilin protested, puffing out her chest importantly. "We've got Sakura-chan, and Syaoran, and Link-san, and that stuffed animal! We can do anything!"
((BTW the "kid" Kero calls Sakura and Link is an affectionate sort of thing close to "kiddo." The "kid" he calls Syaoran is "bozu" in Japanese, which is a very impersonal way to refer to a young boy and in this case very offensive. The only reason I had him call Syaoran "kid" instead of something more offensive in English is because Meilin is already "brat." Plus, that's what the subtitles say. xP
we can do it = producers song. yay meilin's references.))

"Well, we need to find the new bearer of the Triforce of Power. We have to stop at the Sacred Grove first hough, and we'll have to warp. Stand close to me and we'll be there in no time."
A few seconds later, they arrived in a clearing, overgrown with giant trees.
"This way," said Link as he walked through the forest.
A few minutes later, they came to a clearing with ancient ruins everywhere.
"Welcome back to the Temple of Time invincible to everything except time itself," Link quipped as he walked through the ruins. He made his way up a short set of steps and into another clearing. There, gleaming as brightly as it had been when it was first forged, was the Master Sword. Link walked up to the pedestal and grabbed the hilt. As he pulled upwards, a glow surrounded the sword, increasing in brightness until it was free of it's resting place. Link abruptly sheathed the legendary blade, and turned around.
"Let's go, we have something to find."

Sakura paused for a split-second, her eyes flitting nervously to Meilin. Finally she decided that the gain from having Clow's reincarnation around would outweigh the annoyance from Meilin's end. Besides, Tomoyo would throw a fit if she couldn't film, though Sakura thought bitterly that she would probably be happy with filming Eriol at the house anyway, considering how much time she'd been spending with him lately. Sakura loved Syaoran with all her heart, but the way that Eriol and Tomoyo were glued together was really starting to make her sick. Eriol would be asking Sonomi for Tomoyo's hand any day now, and Tomoyo would send out invitations she'd designed herself. Ew. Even though she was a romantic, the thought made Sakura gag.
"Wouldn't it help to have Eriol-kun around?" Sakura ventured. Meilin's eyes narrowed dangerously, but that was all. "He knows more about magic than anyone I know, and he also knows his way around Hyrule really well." She was careful not to mention Tomoyo's name. Meilin took Eriol's name without complaint, but who knows how she would react to Tomoyo's.

"If he wants to come with us, then he can. We're going that way," he said as he pointed to the field.
The group moved through Hyrule Field slowly. They walked as one, in a circle facing outwards, Link ready to warp them back to the village at a moment's notice. Suddenly, his Hylian ears picked up a voice from far away.
"Come on you nitwits! Pull yourselves together! We'll make that Fierce Deity gentle! Don't make me use the wind to reinforce my point! Get to work!"
Link frowned. "This way," he said quietly, just loud enough for his companions to hear. They made their way to a rock and link peered over it, while the others watched in the other direction. A young man wearing a purple cloak stood in font of a small army of monsters.
"Vaati," Link whispered.
The wind mage began to yell again.
"You dare question the bearer of the Triforce of Power? Who do you think you are? Take this!" Vaati yelled as he summoned a small tornado that surrounded the minion in question. When the wind ceased, there was nothing there. Not even a scrap of the uniform.
"Anyone else have a problem?" Vaati sneered. There was no reply.
"You're insane Vaati," Link said as he stood up. "You'll never defeat the Fierce Deity. He'll destroy you and your army in minutes.
Vaati spun around. "Well well well. It's you again. I'd destroy you, but unfortunately I'm rather busy at the moment. Come back later, maybe I can squeeze you in."
"Fine, don't listen. See how far it gets you. Let's go, we have work to do."
With that, the group set off for the village once more.

Sakura sighed. "Link-san, the question isn't whether Eriol-kun wants to come," she said grumpily. "To get him to come we'd have to go back and pry him off of Tomoyo-chan with our bare hands. I just thought he might be helpful."
When Link didn't answer, Syaoran took Sakura's hand. "It's okay, Sakura," he murmured in her ear. "We don't need him. We've got you."
Sakura smiled.
------
As soon as they were out of Vaati's earshot, the little group exploded with triumph. Meilin positively jumped into the air with a loud cackle, and Sakura hugged Syaoran too her, beaming. Yukito and Toya exchanged a small smile.
"ALL RIGHT!" Kero cried, performing a fist pump through the air. "We found the bearer of the Triforce of Power already? Link, not only do you have good taste in food, but you can find something impossible to locate in seconds flat." He shook his head happily in disbelief. "I'm liking you more and more every day--I'm almost at the point where I can forgive you for calling me a stuffed animal."
"Kero-chan!" Sakura laughed. "That was a year and nine months ago! Let it go!"
"Actually, it was a thousand years ago," Meilin corrected haughtily.
Sakura snorted. "All the more reason to forget about it.'"

"It doesn't matter. Vaati's never going to give us the Triforce willingly. We'd either have to kill him, or steal it. Although, we were to save him after his army is destroyed, then he might join us. Might. Let's regroup with the people at the village and think about this for a while."
